The Foraging Walk – Exploring Dye Plants

This is the first edition of the foraging walk focused on dye plants. Talked about everything related to dye plants and how to identify them.

Location: @pluktuingewoonbuiten where we saw a few cultivated dye plants as well as lots of wild plants!

Last year I bought two beautiful fleeces from @viltvrouw and now they’ve been turned into a gorgeous hand-spun cardigan

These fleeces are from Drenthe Heath sheep and feature various shades of gray. The Drenthe Heath Sheep is a domesticated breed of sheep originating in the Netherlands.

The work ‘….’ touches on the subject of the surplus of wool in the Netherlands. The wool used in this work is handspun and has origins in the Dutch spotted sheep.

This work was featured in the exposition Arca Nera in the Fabriek, Eindhoven.
